I was on the list at two dealers for an Edition One as I wanted the Faroe Green (Carpathian would have worked too). Each dealer called me last week, one on Thursday and the other on Friday, and sadly at both dealers the few Edition Ones were snapped up by those higher on the lists but each offered me a standard OCTA. I ended up refusing both as I don't care for either the gold/copper color or the very brown hued grey on the standard OCTAs. As it is now left with both of them, if anyone on an Edition One later backs out to give me a ring.
Edition Ones are going to be produced in very limited numbers. IIRC, there are only 1-2 allocations per dealer for the Edition One.

I got what I wanted, but I did not want the Edition One. Had to settle for the Charente grey, which was not my favorite. I didn’t really care for the carbon fiber, but did get the 20” Duratracs. I also decided to get the PPF done by third party. LR PPF looks ok on a $90,000 car, but I’m not so sure on a $160,000+ car. I think the PPF will help with the Charente grey look, at least I hope so. Order sheet says 25.5 MY, expected delivery Feb 1. No info on order close or build date. My dealer had 4 allocations and they told me all were taken. Not sure about Edition One vs regular.

I visited Pasadena Land Rover in California and they did not seem to be full-up on the OCTA so there are probably some out there. Long way from NYC!

kind of surprised about this. Any idea why others would want it so much? I was offered the Ed one but passed as I really wanted the tan leather. In the current JLR world seem you have to pair things based on color tone - behind annoying. I went with factory matte film, hope it subdues things. The green exterior with tan would have been perfect.

Agreed, I would love the Faroe Green with a tan like interior. Would have been gorgeous.

Some good news, I'm getting the spec I wanted:

OCTA Edition One
Faroe Green w/ Satin
Khaki Interior
20" Wheels
Tow Hitch Receiver
Mud Flaps
Interior Protection Pack

Dealer says delivery within their first allocation wave, ETA should be confirmed by JLR in about two weeks.
Will be our 11th Land Rover product over 30-years.

PNW did your order the BFG Trail or Goodyear Duratracs?

Jim as you know with your OCTA order, there are only a few configuration choices but the one of tire and wheel combo carries permanently coded speed ratings from what has been said.

From the 22" all season to the 20" with the Duratrac, the limited speed is between I think 98 MPH and 150 MPH, with the BFG falling somewhere in between. I find myself wondering why and where anyone would be driving this vehicle over 98 MPH let alone 150 MPH. I don't personally believe an OCTA limited to 98 MPH will suffer a resale value hit any more than one at 150 MPH.

When my wife and I saw the two OCTA's at the Los Angeles event we were taken by how good the Edition One looked with the 20's wearing Duratracs. For me the Edition One and a 20" wheel works really well, not being concerned about limited speed at 98 MPH the Duratrac was my choice for months.

As it turned out with some more recent pondering, I decided to go with the BFG. Under my ownership I don't see this vehicle doing more than a dirt or gravel road and I've read a number of times the BFG, as deemed by some, being slightly better in snow (which we get some) with better road manners - while still having a more aggressive look than a regular all season tire. While not as aggressive as the Duratrac, I will give them a try. Side note, my neighbor who is a car nut and a mechanical engineer has Duratracs on his pickup and he loves them.
