I haven't a clue, but apparently some others are getting Car fax notices too.

Unless and until the notice comes from JLR, officially, no way I’m even thinking about this. I don’t know how the CarFax systems work internally, of course, but TrioLRowner up above showed a BMW recall notice that seems to match this. Sounds like somebody input something wrong at CarFax and it’s targeting Defender owners. Sounds like a complete non-issue until, like I said, JLR sends you one of those very official looking sealed notices.

Now if you have absolutely nothing else in your life to worry about, feel free to treat this as real. Or if you’re a serial Land Rover owner and used to frequent recalls, maybe this is a periodic service CarFax provides just to make people feel at home.

I remember the GM recall for the new Fiero back in the 80's - AFTER - several engines disintegrated from the bad engineered placement of the oil filter

Could it be a Carfax ruse to get Defender owners onto their lots before waving a big sweaty check at them?

Just a thought.

Default N627

The check engine light was on in my 2020 Range Rover
It was running rough .
My dealer updated some software and said that would fix it . It did not
I had another dealer have a look and they did the N627 recall and that fixed the problem
Apparently the Crankcase Ventilation Assembly can fail and leak.
Does anyone know when N627 was issued ?

Anyone have details on this yet?

I inquired with my dealer and they confirmed it is an open recall on our vehicle. They scheduled an appointment to fix it, but the service writer didn't have any details as to exactly WHAT they'd be fixing.

When I went in to have them look at my suspension, my dealer automatically did the N627 "service action" - Positive crank case ventilation. Parts are listed as LR166809 "service kit" and LRN0002LABEL "decal". I didn't notice any specific issues before they did it (nor after).

I dropped my 21 p400 off last week. The dealer kept it for the day. the truck was running fine when I dropped it off. My drive home was fine until I exited the interstate and came to a stop. The truck started idling up and down ...then it dropped to 0 RPMs and kicked out of gear. I had to restart it. Luckily I was only 5 mins from my house. Once home it did it again in my driveway. I shut the truck down to reset the systems. Restarted and it was running fine. I contacted the dealer and sent them a video.
I didn't drive it for a few days and yesterday I had to drive into the city. Highway drive was fine and once I exited onto surface streets...SAME PROBLEM!
I pulled over and restarted again. Called the dealer and laid into them with many profanities about how my truck was fine until they did this recall "FIX" and now my truck is stalling out and the check engine light is on.
I dropped it off at LR yesterday and will know what the problem is on Monday.
3 months of ownership and it has been in the shop 4x ....I almost traded it for An Audi Etron Gt prestige sedan yesterday...I WOULD NEVER OWN THIS TRUCK OR ANY OTHER LR WITHOUT A FACTORY WARRANTY!
