Key Fob & Emergency Breaking Problems with Defender 2020
Hello all, had my 2020 Defender brought in to the dealership about a month ago to fix key fob issues (notification saying hold the key under the steering wheel to start the engine). The car was there for a week as the dealership had to contact Land Rover UK to get the software patch. That didn't fix it and since the patch a new notification comes up saying "Emergency Breaking Not Available". The car has been at the dealership for a week now and the dealer said Land Rover is writing a special software patch to fix these problems! Pretty entertaining. Sharing my story. Anyone else had a similar issue?
Yes, I have had the same two exact issues on my 2020 P300 D110 the same issue -- intermittently. The emergency braking has come on for months and the key fob is new -- I will change the battery to see if that helps.
I just ignore both and try it again and it works. As long as I am not left stuck on the side of the road, I won't give up the vehicle to the dealer (mostly because intermittent failure is not their thing).
I am on the recent .10 or 10. software load -- the one from May 26th.
