Hi, I wrote an email to their specialist Aaron Green. Aaron replied 'Please see the attached for the routing of the wiring down to the lamp. I made this for you this morning using our Defender so I hope this helps you out. As for the headlight wire, this is a Purple wire with a Red stripe running through it (please see attached photo). This is located at the right hand headlight (on UK car). The position light (Green wire) can be connected to the vehicle Ignition as there is no sidelight feed on the Defender. I had to run the cable into the car for this and find an ignition at the fuse box on the passenger side.' I think this is the most official and detailed instruction for installing R750 Lamp. I want to share the instruction with all of you.

More information from Aaron:
  1. Should I splice the cable to right or left headlight? Both of them have high beam signal. I think the high beam wire colour is purple with a orange stripe. The attachment is the wire diagram.
Drivers side is fine as that is where the other connections (Live and earth) are taken from.

2. When the cables are passed through and connected to the lamps, Should I fasten the cables to the grille or just leave them there? Will the cables strike the active grille? Cables should not strike the active grill on the vehicle, It is best practice to tidy the cables. From memory, I believe that I removed the front facia and dropped the cables down from there so that the cables would not strike the shutter.

3. My car has auto high beam function. Is splicing to high beam wire interfere with the function? This will not interfere with the vehicles auto high beam, however, I do believe that the lamp will not work in auto high beam mode. It will only work by the driver operating the high beam manually. (at least that is the case from the 1 Defender I had here with auto HB)

4. How do you run the green wire into the car? From A pillar? Could you show me the route? Please see the attached photo, this is under the drivers side scuttle panel, there is a big rubber grommet that feeds into the drivers kickwell.

Be grateful to Aaron from Lazerlamp. He provides detailed information about installing R750.

Related question: has anyone managed to get Lazer Lamps wired to the rear fog lamp switch? Seems more elegant to be able to activate aux lights using the OEM stalk (and be able to use high beams without absolutely blinding anyone in front)?
