I finally got off the fence... thank you to everyone who helped in the idea process.
Now deciding what 20" AT tires for the 5 spoke wheels I have. BFG KO3 or Nokian OUTPOST NAT. 275/65-20 = 34". I have 30 years/ 300,000 miles experience with the BFG but the Nokian does better in snow and is probably quieter.
Wait. You started with the thread and ended up with an Octa? nice.
Yeah, in the end, the real contenders were V8 130 vs octa. That might seem nuts but it's a mix of desire for ultimate practicality vs how the octa is set up underneath.
For a V8 I had already been making a list of what all I'd do to allow 34-35" tires, add body lift, etc, and realized all that stuff was closing the gap on the $ aspect. Once at that mindset, it really became about 110 vs 130 again, like so many have debated I'm sure.

Great purchase mate. I look forward to seeing where this goes.
Bizarre how loaded the ‘21s are vs some later model years. I’m still irritated the screen in my ‘24 is so small, it seems 10 years outdated. How did a chip shortage from 2021 affect MY ‘24? Ridiculous. Otherwise really love the Defender!
Plenty of specialists will upgrade the screen to a bigger one these days, including skipping a size to fit the very latest. You could do it yourself if you are competent, as there are several tutorials on YouTube showing how to do it. You will need the GAP IID G4 tool to actuate the new screen.

Consider the new Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT in 275/60 R20 ( 33"), they will look great on the Octa. Better steering response than KO3 also .
Nokian outposts look dull imho.

Thank you for the ideas, I had already watched a couple traction tests with the XTM and while they do look to be pretty good. While it's not about the looks to me, when the BFG KM3 are on, they will cover that aspect as well as anything ;- )
I have a had very good experience with several nokian models such as a few of the WRG, the R3, LT3 studded and now the One HT on my Range Rover. I chose the Nokian Outpost NAT for now and will post a photo end of the week. They are 34" 275/65-20
On another set of wheels will be the same size Nokian LT3 non-studded.

I know it's kind of mean to not post a photo but today I put on 34" BFG KM3. 275/65-20 on the basic older 5 spoke Defender wheels, the ones that were on them in 2021 with the carved out spokes vs the current smooth face spokes.
They rub with 20mm H&R spacers but not direct onto the hub. Being an 8.5" wheel with ET 41?, that 'just' works after I removed the front mud-flaps. The guys at Lucky8 must have used a slightly smaller shaped 34" tire when they said "fits fine, no mods..."
You can really hear and feel a new KM3 vs the factory silky smooth Michelin Primacy W rated tires - but of course LOL
Next week when they arrive, I'll test the Nokian Outpost nAT in same size on another set of same wheels and promise photos...
Also the insanely cool and equally huge Roof tent might go on this weekend if Rhine Rack really has my interface parts arriving Friday.
Oh, and a 34" tire on the rear door has JUST enough clearance to the bumper recess, anything larger than ~34.3" or wider than 275/65-20 would require some modification.
