So we had a little run-in with the garage door.
I’d like to replace the rear upper quarter panel as well as the top panel.
I’ve found a video for removing the quarters on YouTube but I’m not finding any info on removing the top panel.
Does anyone have any instructional help on removing this panel?
This is the link to the quarter panel removal:
Oh, that one is easy. It just pulls straight off towards the rear of the car. You'll probably break the panel taking it off though. It's an inner panel plastic welded to that gloss black outer panel.
If you google powerfuluk or watch their YouTube videos, way back in 2020 / 2021 they explain how to
But either way if you're replacing yours, as it's easier to buy the JLR pre painted gloss black ones, just rip it off and it'll break. .

Thanks for your response.
So, just to confirm, I’m looking for help on removing the top piece - the one surrounding the 3rd brake light.
Are you saying that that one pulls off just like the side quarters do?
Oh wait. Sorry. I have not removed that piece that spans the top center where the brake light is. I thought you were talking about the upper portion on the side (I see the scuff now on the top piece).
But you're in luck - this video explains it somewhat decently.
Looks like you remove the 2 upper c pillar trims (what I mistakenly thought you were asking about)
Then undo a couple bolts on each side
Then it pulls out (the guy shows how to in the video)
Awesome! That’s exactly what I’m looking for.
It definitely looks like I can replace these myself.
It looks like the trick will be removing the left one without damaging it in the process.
Thanks again.
