I have a month or so to figure out how to sell but most likely eBay Motors or a private sale - I think I looked at Carvana a few weeks back but the price they offered was too low.

I'd like to max out my sale price - despite what the dealers are saying, second hand, well looked after Defenders are still fetching really good money.

 

Wouldn’t hurt to try FB marketplace if you are in the area for buyers.

 

Curious, what are dealers are telling you when you try and sell it to them?

 

If it is, what you want, I'd go inside and make them an offer. If you would be bold enough to ask for $5k below​​ MSRP, there's nothing wrong with them listing it at $5k above MSRP. Worst, they can do is tell you "no." But lezve them your number and let, them know you are, serious. They just might, surprise you.

dealer emailed me the the interactive driver display was changed to analogue. And that they receive info from JLR that all interactive driver display are canceled on ALL models and configuration.


damn . Doesn’t change the great driving, but this is a bummer.

 

I hate to hear this. The darn supply chain issues seem to continue to get worse.
I ordered a Defender 110 X and was downgraded to standard Meridian Sound (10 speakers 450w amp) vs. Meridian Surround (14 speakers 700w amp).
I've learned to live with it, as apparently this cannot be "upgraded" to Meridian Surround after the fact.
It would require an automotive custom sound shop with their own recommendation of speakers/amps/processors/etc which would be leagues better than any of the factory options. However, it's still a bummer since it was something you selected and were willing to pay for.

 

Just put my order in for a 110S and got an allocation.. Here are the dates they're telling me.

Last Amendment Possible - 3/29/23
Build Date - 5/12/23
Delivery (JLR New Rochelle, NY) - 6/30/23

This dealer was able to get the Premium LED Headlights onto the build sheet (unlike another dealer), and it does also have the full interactive display.

I'm crossing my fingers these don't get cancelled. I'm starting to think that some of these limits are dealer by dealer. Why would one dealer be able to get the Premium LEDs onto the build sheet, but another one couldn't select it. Note that the one that couldn't select it didn't yet have an allocation.

Oh this sucks. May be you can look at sourcing the part aftermarket and swapping it. I've seen someone has done it and it seems relatively straightforward.

I received my defender on 23rd December, and it has interactive display, was offered one with analog dials a few month prior (cancelled order) but I rejected it. Last week I put the car to my dealer for ceramic coating and the loan car they gave me (2022 evoke) had analog dials with TFT in the middle. I didn't like it a bit. But if you're driving that everyday may be it will grow into you...

 

Strange, i DO have the surround sound meridian in my build sheet. like most of the great stuff. only NOT IDD

and those are aftermarket pretty expensive before 2023 around €1500,- but newest model, 23.5 IDD cost around €2700,- aftermarket. Maybe i get used to analogue.
I rather have the meridian surround sound then the analogue if i needed to chose.

Most of the time i use carplay anyway.

I'm trying to get extra discount on painted wide wheel arges, expeditionrack, and roof stairs.

the strange thing was that the fabric changed it from idd to analogue begin January. dealer changed it 10 January. close last chance date was 18 january and fabric changed back to analogue 19 January....started calling the importer (is that good english?) and then the bad news came. no ore IDD for any build defender from now on.... i'm curious if that's really the case...
