Will do. I was pretty disappointed about the sound. Depending on your build date, you may get lucky and it be resolved by then. But in the face of another 8 month wait (and in my case, driving an increasingly frail, aging Pathfinder I've owned 22 years lol) I'm just going to go ahead with it.

@mscard02 - good to know. Its ludicrous, but having read here today about the IDD now being skipped for some, I'll actually feel 'lucky' if I'm 'just' missing the sound system.

 

Are you saying you have the speakers but so see the option in the audio setup? If you do have the speakers, it’s possible the menu option is missing - it should return after a reset - happened in mine !

 

Yep, it was odd. All the speakers are there for the meridian sound system, but on the screen, in the audio setup, there was no button to toggle on. I also forgot to look at the doors and see what they are marked, dropped it off to have it ceramic coated so ill check again in a few days. My build sheet showed that it had been downgraded to the standard system. I'll try the Pivi reboot and see what happens, thanks for the heads up!

My Defender 110 was built December 16th and is still sitting in the dock awaiting a ship. This is destined for Melbourne, Australia rather than the US but 6 weeks seems a long time to get allocated a ship for transport. The delivery date has been pushed back from early March to mid April so far.

What was the longest you guys had to wait from BUILT date to on a ship and in transit?

 

My 130 was built in October and it took almost 6 weeks to the day to get on a ship. There's probably more storage at the Land Rover factory so I wonder if it sits there the longest before being put on a train? I thought crossing the Atlantic was tough with a ship moving at 14 kts but that antipodean wait is brutal. God speed!

 

Sorry to hear you got downgraded on the sound Fluke208! I too got downgraded and I almost didn't accept it, but ultimately did take delivery.

I think there may be some confusion on Meridian vs Meridian Surround?

It's my understanding not all the speakers are present.
My X is missing the following:
--> 1 dash center speaker (grill is there, but no speaker)
--> 2 far rear speakers (trunk ceiling)
--> 700W more powerful amp
--> along with capability of turning on surround in PIVI

They did credit me $450 USD, but that still doesn't make up for the fact these are upper tier trim levels which "should" be delivered with all the standard items listed. As you know these X models are supposed to come standard with the Meridian Surround Sound, because it doesn't even allow for changing the sound system on the build of an X trim. It's very frustrating!

 

Hi, I ordered in May '22 and my build date is supposed to be 3/3/23.
However, my dealer is still unable to confirm that this date is actually locked in which to me seems strange since the build date is just over 4 weeks from now.

Does anyone know when your build date is actually locked in?
Getting a little anxious / and also just very excited to finally get the car after such a long wait!

 

Wow, they're making you wait! Attached is my timeline up to ship date (I have it now). It was a month to go from confirmed to locked in (can't make anymore changes) and another month or so to build date. Ask your dealer to send you a screen shot of the build timeline like my picture.

I think they are just trying to be careful not to overpromise, but by now I would really think (and hope) that the build date would be set in stone. :-p
