In the allocation queue end of March, order placed yesterday. 23.5MY Defender X P400 Eiger Gray. Price increased a few grand over the original March 23MY build, no changes.

Default A few more weeks?

For those tracking typicals, I just received an update from my dealer (New England) on my order:

2023 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE 400PS 3.0

Deposit 10/12/21
P&S 1/17/22
Build Date 4/29/22
Delivery Date 6/24/22

Jun 14 UPDATE - My 23 is currently sitting on a ship docked in NYC and will be heading to Baltimore before offloading. Should I expect a few more weeks to the dealer outside of Boston?

My December 2021 ordered 110 S arrives this week (original delivery date was expected end of July).

Unfortunately, the dealer is now surprising me with a mandatory paint protection plan and saying I cannot pay cash, but have to finance. I'm set to close on a house in 3 weeks so the required financing could be an issue...

Get it financed and pay it off next day. Underwriters love a feel-good story like that.

Unless you signed something agreeing to those terms, I'd just refuse this nonsense. In any case, your house should take priority even over the new Defender.

Well that's ****ty AF. Also are they charging you the "new" 2023 sticker price that went up since dec 21? Or the original order quoted MSRP?

Yeah, it is the "new" MSRP which is $1,200 more. I may just give it up but I've waited so long for it that I'm having a hard time moving on.
