New 2026 Defender Trophy Edition
From the website: "The original color of the Defender. First used in 1948, this metallic green paint contains solid green pigments that give it a dark, deep appearance, very similar to the spectacular Lake District landscape that inspired it."
So it's both "solid" and "metallic". 🤔

I'm working on finalizing an order for the Keswick green Trophy Edition in Spain. In the configurator, it shows the Trophy Pack as optional, and it adds about 5.5K euros. But while putting in the order, I was told that LR factory orders for the vehicle must have the Trophy Pack. So it doesn't seem optional, and there is an added price due to this. I'm fine with the pack, as I plan to put all of that stuff on it. However, I didn't select it initially in case I wanted to consider an aftermarket rack, ladder, etc.
So if you are reading all of the press releases about all of these "included" features, note that they are required paid add-ons and not "included" in the price.

Neat video about the Defender Trophy featuring some familiar faces. Bob & Joe Ives, who won the Camel Trophy in 1989 - I listened to a podcast where Bob was a guest hand he said he has an L663 and loves it. He was also the off-road consultant for the Top Gear and Grand Tour Specials. He was also in the passenger seat in that viral video where Will Smith crashed a Defender in the dunes. They also had Nick Dimbleby, an official Camel Trophy photographer, and the man who does all of the press photos for JLR and numerous other OEMs, as well as Karen McDonald, who participated in the 1997 CT.
Funny how the call it "Defender Trophy" and not the Camel Trophy. I guess it's a big no-no to use any kind of tobacco references. They even positioned the 1989 Defender in a way where you can't see the Camel advertising.
