Hi I have a 2024 P400 that has a rattle from cold start until fully warmed up. It accelerates with throttle so must be something close to engine. Sounds plasticky like a tapping pen

Any experience?

 

I just sent you a PM (welcome!) ... I think the issue I'd posted up about years ago is a bit different.

I wonder if it's something in one of the pulleys -- for the belts/accessories. ?

Either way I'd book it in at dealer. Fun huh!

 

​​​​​​Hi, my 2023 P400 has the same issue, sort of sounds like something is rusted but goes away after driving for a bit. Did you get an answer on what that might be?

I had a feeling it was something related to the salt and winter weather here, took it to the dealer and they said everything was fine.

 

Every P400 I've heard cold start does it. I think it may be valve train or timing chain? I have had 4 Porsche 911's that also did this.
