The side and rear brackets are mounting points like M Lok rail in the AR weapons world.

i emailed this guy like.....five times when we were shopping aftermarket racks because i wanted this thing, but he never responded once. Thats a bummer, rack looks really nice. I'm not sure my wife would have gone for it, probably reminded her too much of my disco, but i think that's much more in keeping with the classic LR roof racks. Let us know when the glamor shots are ready, and tell me more about this ladder!

That explains why I had not idea how you’d use this rack. Still don’t get how you’d attach non weaponry items like ski racks, bike racks, etc. I could see lashing stuff down on top, but that kind of old school.

FYI,

If you look at M Lok system there is an oblong mounting point with bracket and inside rack two feet that oppose opening at 90 degrees and tighten with external screw with mounting plate outside rack securing anything with a bracket, therefore no direct need to "lash" or climb on to rack unless carrying luggage fuel tent.

Looks like they raised the price to over $2300. Yikes, that’s a bummer. Guess they’ve got the demand. I was curious about how to attach a Thule ski rack in the winter and it sounds like I’d have to resort to the old Yakima round bar adapters which kind of suck. Could really use some t slots somewhere instead. Any other ideas on how to attach things like ski racks or kayak mounts. Other than side m lock mounts, this just doesn’t seem that useful as compared to something with t slots.

Still, I’m tempted because the look and lower profile, although $2300 is a lot just for a rack. Is it really much lower profile than the others? Site says 2” above top of car. Is that 2” above roof; or 2” above the top of the fin. I think frontrunner and oem are both about 2” above top of fin, which I think is just too high.

How do you like it after having it for a while?

Its 2 inches above roof line with fin cut out, frontrunner rack caused interference with radio, an horribly to tall, loaded I can see really changing center gravity.

currently working on several light forward configs and trending away from LED round, vs LED Bar, but really appreciate the Hella iconic round halogen.

How’s the noise? I’m thinking I would get a full fairing in front.

Also, any idea why they priced this almost $1K over their other similar racks for other brands? And that’s without ladder. I thought you said you got ladder included for $1800, but now they want $2400 with no ladder? I guess I’ll have to wait for arb at those prices. Too much for a steel rack.

How did you run the wiring for the lights? I've seen others run it down the right A pillar. I want lights on my rack but can't decide how to run the wiring from the roof to the engine compartment.

Honestly, I have not wired (hidden) yet just trialing direct with exterior harness.

I hate to violate the firewall, and roof,

I elected no sun roof and really don't want to violate aluminum skin of roof.

Realistically, each light set should be fused and relay if I am going with Halogen

I picked up a complete Switch Pro 9100 system but have not decided to integrate.
