Hopefully we will get some rain at some point this winter in SoCal as it's been a month and I want to test out my new coopers in rain and some snow in the mountains.
Heading your way in a few weeks to scope out the area for a possible move, and if we do relocate to the area we’re visiting, the Inland Empire, those Coopers may have a future use in those mountains and snow.

I was at a business meeting in Syracuse, NY in early November. Woke up to 4" of snow, followed by sleet and freezing rain the following day. The Coopers combined with snow mode did great, no sliding or traction issues at all. Felt as confident as the Nokian Hakka winter tires we had on the Defender the previous winter.

For those who are having problems getting tires mounted by shops... perhaps jack up the truck and take the wheels by themselves to the shop instead?

It's a pain in the *** but it might be the only way to get what you want. Lawyers ruin everything.

I did consider that but I want to have them road force balanced, and additionally the shop has free rebalancing and rotation for the life of the tires. I was leaning towards the Nittos but the Coopers were in close contention and due to their excellent ratings in all categories I feel they will meet or exceed my needs and expectations.

^This! I only buy new summer tires in spring when I'm pulling off the winter wheels & tires. I bring the summer wheels & tires to my tire guy to have new tires mounted and balanced. I then do the installation myself. This way I know the lug nuts are installed at the correct torque with the correct (20mm) size socket. In fall I also add some anti-seize to the winter wheel contact points so the wheels aren't rusted to the hub in spring.

Ironically, all 4 of my land rovers since 2004 use a 22mm socket size wheel nut. ;- )

LOL, my typo. Yes, 22mm, and not the 7/8" socket that lazy technicians use with an impact gun that twists and ruins the chrome covers on our lug nuts.

I always switched the nuts on mine to non-capped versions. The 2026 though came with solid / non-covered black nuts.
