Just be aware that when littlehandgun claims a 275/70 fits just fine with 1.5” rods, what he really means is “The exact tires I have fit my exact Defender with 1.5” rods.”

The 275/70 tires I bought didn’t come close to fitting without rubbing with the slightest turn of the tire, nowhere near full lock, with and without 1.5” rods, with and without 30mm spacers. I bought them based on earlier statements in here that “275/70-18s fit just fine with rods” and that was an expensive lesson because once the 5 tires were mounted, they were mine.

Thanks for the warning. I take it the rub was at the front of the front wheel well?

Now that I think about it, that tire (pictured below, Kenda Klever RT601) also rubbed with all revolutions, even going straight, but seems like 1.5” rods maybe cured that, but 30mm spacers just made the rears rub on the outside lip. It’s been a couple years so I’m not real clear on it anymore. Thankful that my OEM size Coopers fit great, despite being a full 0.50” taller than the stock wheel tire combo.

Thanks for the info. I currently have Vredestein LT265/70/18's that fit well. But are 32.6" in diameter. I know it's not much, but I wanted that additional 1/2 inch when it comes time for new tires. Looks like I'll just have to do without.

Default 265 60 20 BF Goodrich k02

[QUOTE=mgreenawald;740948]Great info above. I have tried both the 275 / 60 R20 and the 265 / 60 R20 KO2s. There was definite rubbing on rear of front wheel well liner when wheel is turned on the 275 / 60 R20. The liner could be tacked down tighter to the wheel well and it may be ok. With regards to the 265 / 60 R20, it was super close (see picture). At this point I chose not to make the change; I would love to hear from folks that have installed a larger tire.

Driver Side Front Wheel 265 / 60 R20

just put K02 265/60/20 on my 2020 110 and absolutely zero rub, even with snow and ice packed in the wells.

Hi all, I am located in St. Pete FL and have a brand new set of gloss black 5098 style 22's with the street tires on them, about 700 miles on the set. I am looking to trade to a set of the 20" (any style but need to be gloss black) with or without A/T tires on them, If anyone is interested, feel free to shoot me a message here or at 5133839618!
