No rub at standard height would be great, although I have a 1 inch lift programmed on D130.
You should be fine. The maximum diameter tire you can fit on a Defender without modifications is 32.6"

Not necessarily tire size but I found this cool web chart by LR describing each tire

Im assuming the ‘off-road’ ones are the Wranglers and the ‘professional off-road’ are the Duratracs.

Correct. The off-road tires are the Wrangler Adventures and the professional off-road tires are the Wrangler Duratracs.

I would love to make a parody version of that chart. Or really a more accurate version.

Talk about grading on a curve (grade inflation)...

Adventures score a 9 in the snow? HA.

I have a MY23.5 D90 and it came with GY Adventure "AT"s. They are truly crap for the intended purpose. No Kevlar? That is the only big plus for this brand. Hoping to see BFG K03 tires in August? They have published a SKU for 255/65R19, we'll see.

Currently on 60 series OG Wildpeaks which are adequate and at least don't fly off snowy roads.

Clearly much better on typical gravel roads here in the Black Mountains and around the Smokies.

The "off road" tires are actually very well suited for their purposes:

1) They must provide a good, safe, comfortable, quiet drive during customer's test drives.
2) They must appear more like off-road tires than passenger tires, for those who care about the looks.

For that, they are fine. They are genuinely excellent for driving on clean, smooth, dry pavement, in range of AAA, like most of their target (rich) market areas.

But off-road? Yikes, scary!!!

And imagine my surprise the first time I touched my brakes on 2" snow? Darned near flew off the road and I am a well seasoned mountain driver.

Of course if I was serious or dedicated vehicle you'd have to go with Duractracs at least on 19" rims, anyway.

pretty much the same setup I’ll have by weeks end + spacers as the rear Alston still caught the caliper in the back.

What did you specifically hate about the Adventures? Over the years I've read several negative posts about them, but I've never had a real issue. I do moderate Jeep roads in CO with them in the summer, and they only see patches of pavement for 4-5 months a year - snow. We don't really deal with mud or roots like you would in NC so maybe thtat's it???

I like them as they are acceptable for many tasks: interstate (quite), snow, moderate Jeep trails, dirt roads...
