Default OEM roof rack noise D90 vs D110

I've had a D90 with OEM roof rack for the past couple of years. I don't really notice much wind noise unless I'm on an interstate driving 75 mph into direct gusty winds. So overall it's a non-issue for me with this vehicle. But I've started looking at moving back to a 110 and wondering if the wind noise is worse due to the longer surface of the roof? Maybe it's a dumb question but as of now I don't have an opportunity to test drive a 110 with a roof rack so really curious about others' experience here. Thanks!

It probably makes a difference if you have a sunroof, fabric roof, or neither.

I have neither and I had to get a wind deflector to quiet down the noise. Even with the deflector I can feel the wind hit about mid rack and cause noise just back from my head.
Personally I think the rack causes a lot of noise, obviously much worse heading into the wind, but regardless of direction, there's noise. . I do drive in that 70-75mph range a lot and it does get exponentially worse as speeds increase. I also have a lunch box and ladder and can really hear them in the back seat.
