Online Pack with Data Plan - what do you get?
I've just received and bill for $160 to renew my "Online Pack With Data Plan". I am totally confused about what this covers.
Is it (this is the description - doesn't mention Data Plan):
The Online Pack is designed to enhance your in-car experience, ensuring you and your passengers enjoy the journey while remaining connected to the world. Online Pack includes:• Online Media which provides access to personalized content from Spotify and Tunein• Amazon Alexa that can play music, get directions, place calls, control smart home devices, and more. • Weather forecasting for your favorite locations up to five days in advance. • A calendar for you to navigate to your next appointment is also included, as well as Cloud POI so you can search for key locations such as restaurants. Online Pack services will evolve over time via the over-the-air updates.
Or is it (this is from the FAQs - doesn't mention Online Pack):
Wi-Fi Enabled with Data Plan delivers a 4G/LTE (depending on model) Wi-Fi hotspot in your car, enabling passengers to connect multiple devices to the Internet using an in-car 4G/LTE connection. It utilises the roof mounted antenna increasing the reliability of continuous connection whilst on the move. It delivers better data connection strength (compared to a smartphone in the vehicle) as the metal structure of the vehicle can restrict data reception.
Currently, I can connect my laptop to the car wifi, but I've never had an ability to talk to the internet so it seems to be pointless. Alexa and inTune both work fine. Should I have had more connectivity? Is that something that can be enabled with the GAP tool?

Thanks @nashvegas - I had stopped following that thread awhile back as it didn't seem relevant then. Question for GAP folks: Can you make the $160 subscription act like the $500 subscription (i.e. enable the internet-connected wi-fi)?
I was wondering the same thing, but my renewal notice goes to a webpage that only offers the $500 option. If you already have the hotspot version it's not clear how to renew to just the $160 option.
