I ordered a defender x 110 p400 mid January 2022. Dealer had an allocation available and their estimate for delivery is April (I worry that’s them being optimistic). I don’t mind the wait, it brings me excitement when I get the chance to day dream at work. If anyone has recently been delivered their defender I had a couple questions.

1. I ordered the X because I wanted the hood and roof to be silver. I added all of the feature that the dynamic X had and then some. However I was told that there may be an issue getting the digital instrument cluster (microprocessor issues etc.). I might end up having the analogy gauge cluster. Not a deal breaker, but I wanted the digital. Has anyone had this issue? If so how are you liking the analog? Kinda of niche question

2. How accurate was the dealerships estimated time for delivery?

I am yet to take delivery of my 110S and I ordered it in SoCal on 18th September with a forecast delivery of 11th February. The build date was scheduled for the beginning of December and that was reasonably accurate. It then took a while to get on a boat. I finally got notification that it was on the boat on 24th January, with an expected California port arrival on 2/18. I am tracking the ship and this seems to be on schedule. I would imagine the time between docking and delivery to dealer to be around 3 - 4 weeks. They will fit some of the options I selected at the port; Expedition rack and mud flaps etc. I am crossing my fingers for a 9th March delivery. I have been able to get a tracking screen shot from my dealer when I have asked for it. See attached.
I have not been notified that any of my options have not made it into the build. These included; adaptive cruise control, clear sight, the full digital cluster.

I live in Australia - originally ordered a D300 in June 2021.

Dealer saying "most probably" August 2022 delivery

 

Ordered my 90x in August. It made the port on the 25th of January. It was cleared for transport on the 28th. Not a peep since. So it has taken 6 months nearly to the day and still not in sight

 

BTW: The X has a black hood -- I think you mean "X Dynamic". Are you sure you got the right one?

 

I ordered and have the 110 SE with the silver roof and hood, you don’t need the X for that if that helps.

 

So, an update. I won't be able to get the digital display for the gauges. They're not available according to my dealer. I told them I could deal with the colored hood and roof and get the X for the digital gauges. No luck, according to my dealer in Raleigh, NC there are no allocations for the X this year. I don't know. I'll still take delivery with the analog gauges, it's not a deal breaker. Also the delivery got pushed back to June/July 2022.
