Panoramic Window or Solid roof ??
I would agree that you should be able to "sunroof delete" on any LR model ... up to and including the most expensive Autobiography RR's, or Carpathian V8 Deefers.
I would somewhat disagree that an off-roader expedition vehicle shouldn't have a glass roof. That may be a bit archaic and/or cautious. I'd say put flooring on the roof rack and the problem of bits falling on the glass is probably mostly solved.
I'd bet JLR product decisions are all sales data, market research or supply chain driven. The "take rate"... btw I wonder what percentage of L663 in NAS market 2020-2023 were ordered or spec'd without pano roof. Probably a number less than 5%? Maybe less?
Completely unrelated but related in a way: I'd love to be able to buy a top spec L663 or RR (or RRS) without dark tinted windows in the rear. But, never going to happen in the NAS market. Still easy to do in the UK.
