A Pillar Flapping / Crackling noise at speed

Chief65: I get what you’re saying. And yes, some manufacturers, Honda, Subaru, etc., have much higher customer satisfaction levels and build a pretty tight, reliable vehicle. Heck, when I was expecting to take delivery of my MY22 110 SE the realization hit me that I would now be throwing all manner of sandy, salty beach gear into my gorgeous, shiny and clean Defender, so I hit the local auto lots and bought a Honda Element. It has nearly 200k miles and I drive it hard and beat it daily but it just hums along problem free. Unfortunately, it seems most of the luxury manufacturers, Mercedes, BMW, LR/RR, Porsche products are finicky and require more attention and time and cost to own, but that’s the price we pay to enjoy its rewards. My past 911 and current Boxster definitely require more care and dollars, but the pleasure I get when behind the wheel on a twisty road or open highway is worth all the hardships. The Defender is not for everyone, it too is finicky and requires extra cost and time to own. Comes down to pain versus reward.

So for those ready to throw in the towel and switch vehicles, which make/model would you go for? I mean what vehicle out there is 100%, absolutely perfect and trouble-free, with no known issues, problems, and has fulfilled every owner’s expectations? Hmmm, maybe a Cybertruck. I’ve heard they are without fault. 😂
‘24 Land Cruiser
‘24 Lexus GX
’24 Cayenne
Grenadier
G-Wagen
