Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT
Pirelli recently launched a new all-terrain tire family, the Scorpion XTM AT. Only available in limited sizes right now, but will be available in more sizes (including up to 24" wheels) throughout the rest of the year and into 2026. They have the 3PMSF rating, which they claim is a "real" 3PMSF because of the compound can modulate to temperatures. It also has a reenforced sidewall, rock ejectors in the tread, and according to Car & Driver, a very quiet tread pattern, which really piqued my interest.. They also have an "Elect" version designed with EVs and hybrids in mind that allow for 5% more EV range compared to the standard version.
New all-terrain tires are always welcome, and hopefully down the road they might offer the OEM sizes for the Defender. Pirelli doesn't offer their current line of ATs in many sizes, so hopefully that will change with the Scorpion XTM AT. Fingers crossed!
Even though I'm not a huge fan of Pirellis (or as my friends in the auto industry call "Spinrellis"), I admit they make great high-performance R-compound tires, and that's about it. Once upon a time, Pirelli made great tires, and hopefully these new Scorpion XTM ATs are another exception!

I also read about these tires this morning. I like the way they look. However from what I read, the Elect tires for EVs and hybrid SUVs are the only tires that go up to 22". The standard tires only go up to 20".
You read my mind...I'm not a fan of Pirelli tires either. Then again, I only had the cheap ones that came as OEM on Audis.
Not to hijack your Pirelli thread, but I just saw this new tire from Nokian: (I'm a huge fan of their winter tires)

I love my P400, but I recognize that I have a needlessly compromised set of tire choices, all so JLR can pretend that driving 130 mph is a realistic concerns drivers have. (who buys the P400 thinking fast? isn't that why there are V8 choices). I'll hopefully have Defender a decade, and in the next 3,000+ days I will never, ever get it to 130 mph. Fitting oversized rims on there that prohibit AT tires so instead I can imagine going 130 mph was the wrong call for me, for sure.
So unless you have 22" wheels, you can't go 130 mph even if you tried on your P400.
These seem to be for the brand new LC/GX OT: 265/70/18. Interesting that the 265 takes it out of the standard base Wrangler size of 255/70/18, and more for the 4Runner and truck models. JLR made IMHO an "epic fail" by not appreciating all the work TM had done in making the LC/GX able to use 265/70/18. If JLR "freeloaded" off the sales volume of LC/GX tire buyers, it would have been terrific.
Well, it’s about darn time that they get on the band wagon and produce an A/T worthy of the name lookwise.
Their soft looking design was robbing them from a lot of potential buyers. Now that they look good, let’s hope they work and wear good to catch up with the competition.
But at this point, I’m definitely sold on the GY Duratracs RT.
