Pivi update 4.2.1
You probably don't have enough charge in the battery. Hook up a battery tender to the terminals under the hood and then try the update. If that doesn't work, you might want to have the battery under the passenger seat replaced.
After that I put an extra Wifi router in the room over our garage. I went into the Defender settings menu, turned off cellular data and turned on Wifi and connected the Defender to my home Wifi. Every software update has downloaded and installed since.
so after the update my engine light went on and stayed on for a few days.
i was hours away from setting up what would prob be an expensive service appointment.
Light went off this morning, and the app shows no issues.
Thanks, Santa

Like you, my download worked and installing failed several times, but today, it worked. No problems so far, and i'm really interested to see if it's corrected the diff 'jump'.
My CarPlay always works so I've never updated anything on my '24. Has anyone gone in for an oil service and asked the advisor to NOT update software? This is what I want to try but I'm afraid a random tech is just going to update it anyway.
Last week I got a 2020 Defender 110 CPO. The software update screen says the vehicle's software is up to date. It says it had version 4.0.1 installed on September 6, 2023. I have the vehicle connected to my home wifi network and it says it's connected to AT&T with it's SIM. I am also signed in to my InControl account on this vehicle and can use the Remote app to control the vehicle.
Based on this thread, it looks like 4.2.1 is the latest version and there have been several other releases since 4.0.1 in Sept 2023.
Any way to force it to try to update? Is charging the main battery the only approach to try?

Despite my warning not to install it, my wife did. Stuff works but navigation on carplay repeats spoken directions three times. Highly annoying. Using my phone and android auto ...it doesn't do that. Not sure if it's pivi related or not.
