Popping/clicking sound after spacer install
I was so excited to get a wider stance for my 2022 Defender since I had the wheel arch protector painted in body color (Carpapthian Grey). Finally couple weeks ago I installed Bora 1.25" (hubcentric) spacers on my 20" wheels. The Defender looked so much better and more aggressive.. However, immediately after the install, I hear this click or pop when I change directions (forward/backward). I torque the spacers to spec 140Nm (103-104 ft/lb). I even placed Anti-seize slightly around hub as recommended by most installers. This clicking / popping sound is pretty bad when parking. Turning the wheel does not seem to make it worse. This sound is only coming from the front wheels. The rear ones seem ok. After 10 miles and 70 miles of driving, I took off the wheels and retorqued the spacers and wheels back to spec. Still the noise is present. I called my the Bora vendor, and he seems baffled by it, for he had one customer who had complained of the same problem. I don't think the problem was ever resolved. The vendor thinks it has to do with a the rotor hat making this sound and not the spacer. So today, I removed the right front wheel and spacer and the clicking/ popping sound went away. Then on the right wheel, I removed all Anti-seize from the hub and spacer, and reinstalled the spacer/wheel. Unfortunately, the sound is still present. I made sure that the Spacer studs were as long as the original ones, and they were. (Actually the spacer studs are couple mm longer, but I confirmed that the OEM lug nuts didn't bottom out. At this point, I may try another brand for the front or just give up on the spacers. I would greatly appreciate everyone's feedback on what is causing this sound. Here are the links to the video that I recorded today.
Very weird, no problems with my H&R spacers.
Did you check the balance lead on the inside of your front wheels, maybe they touch the Ball joint underside..
I also removed the horseshoe mudscrapers, only thing they did after Install of the spacers was grass and debris scraping.

what size H&R spacers do you have for the front?
Found this thread as I'm considering spacers for the factory 22" Wheels.
@RR2Dfndr did you ever resolve this?
@Defendit.. What size H/R spacers are you running?
Thanks in advance

Recommendation is to check wheel fastener torque. I recently change rhe wheels on my bmw and two were making the same popping noise or metallic clicking. Come to find out several bolts were not as tight as they should have been.
