Default Power Steering Failure 34K miles

I had the misfortune of returing to the airport parking after a weeklong vacation and finding my Defender 110 in power save mode, but it started, however the power steering is not working. It was fine when I parked it. The only warning is that the steering safety assist is not available and ok to drive with caution. Never experienced any issues with it until now. I was able to wrestle it home. I was very disappointed for the first time and now question the reliability of this electronic steering. I will check fuses before I call a flatbed to send it to the dealer. Any other easy diagnostics I should try?

PS-Fuses all check out.

Ok, thanks for the tip. A hard reset of the battery did the trick. 10 mm wrench now a fixture in my battery compartment.
