You can also check with your insurance company to see if they would cover the cost of a replacement since something hit your vehicle.

there is nothing hit to the vehicle , head lamp glass or plastic cover cracked by itself its a manufacturing fault and now dealership not covering under warranty
they are not even bringing this issue to the landrover .i m going to file a case against dealership . anybody else having the same issue please share thanks
I hate to say it but headlights don’t just shatter. These are polycarbonate lenses. Something hit it.

These don’t just crack and shatter randomly. It must have been hit by a flying stone the like of which would crack a windscreen. As such you have a legitimate insurance claim. The dealer is perfectly correct, even though you find it difficult to accept so far.

as others have said. No way the plastic lens breaks without an impact.

light can be replaced for less than $500 and about half an hour of simple simple DIY.

You need to know how to use eBay, a screwdriver and a socket wrench.

Don’t pay $5000.

Or do. I’m not the boss of you.

PowerfulUK sell a very reasonably prices protective clear cover for the light units to protect them from impact damage. No doubt the windscreen will be next to get hit, as they often do on all upright vehicles [and lower cars with steeply raked screens sometimes].

I don’t think that the pixel, sectional dimming lights can be replaced cheaply. Yet.

Are there any user-accessible setting or switch to temporary disable the DRL halo rings ? if not, can it be done with the GAP tool ? If this has been discussed, I must have missed, and I apologize ...

You're referring to matrix lights. This thread is about the bog standard premium LEDs. There are a gagillion on eBay. Loads of mint condition used ones. Loads of new ones there and elsewhere from other vendors.

I've not looked for matrix ones as I don't have that but I'm sure there are plenty given how easily these, like most modern vehicles, get totaled.
