It was dead easy to do yourself. Main dealers parts department got the new trim delivered within 18 hours, included all fixings and seals. The body shop painted it within 4 hours, took about 15 minutes to replace the trim. The part number on my invoice is LRLR147358 - £59.90 + VAT, painting was £78.10 + VAT. All in £165.60 inc.

Now got a box to sell, and a roof rack - They'll be on eBay soon (with the pre cut trim).

 

No, it requires 3 holes drilled into this little trim piece that pops off easily. One option is to buy the trim. No idea the cost and doubt you can get a color match. Another option is to put in a Molle plate like PowerfulUk sells. If you watch the video they show you the trim. Of course, they show how to drill the holes that you will already have!

 

Simon, Which dealer did you use ?
I had the explorer kit fitted, couldn't see passed the box to took it off, was not happy when I uncovered the holes
