I won't take it if it has the analog dash. It looks horrible and in my RRS, I have it set to be the full size map and use the main screen for the radio, which I like.

 

My p300 will be built in early June, dealer also told me the explorer package is on backorder, so no one really knows if port will install explorer package or not for now

 

I guess you could just buy the explorer package stuff separately, but why the hell would it not be available? It's not chip-related.

Has anyone heard if P400s may be receiving analog displays as well? I am deciding between a P300 and P400 (X-Dynamic) and this would tip the scales.

 

Yes, my original build was a P400 X and it got downgraded to the analogue dials.

 

The local dealer said the digital display is only being delivered on the most expensive non-v8 model so take that fwiw.

 

Well this sure doesn’t sound promising. I have an entry level p300 on order so I’m guessing i’ll be downgraded as well. Tough to walk away from a vehicle just because of this. Just have to stare at it literally while you drive. C’mon LR do better.

 

Yes. People are paying north of $80k to $90k for "loaded" Defenders with that hideous analog display. And it is take it or leave it. The next one will take it. And if you keep it, I doubt LR will compensate you in any meaningful shape or form. Sure they might throw in an accessory install and whatnot, but as above well said - you gotta stare at that thing every time you drive your brand new $90k truck. I would never.

 

Yeah, I won't take it if mine has the analog. What's the point of building a car and ordering what you want if they're going to use parts for cars that no one ordered, but they just want on the lot? How much leverage does a dealership have? This will be my fourth LR and 3rd from the same dealership, but I imagine that doesn't matter.
