I do. I highly recommend aluminum vs. the cheaper steel if you go this route. So much easier to lug around, hang from the ceiling of the storage building, etc.

Somehow did not get notifications I had so many replies here, thanks everyone!

I found a Thule Motion XT XL in stock locally, so will give that a try. The XXL does seem to fit very nicely though, almost makes me second guess my choice!

Nope, that is just for a bike carrier. Nothing too special, just works great

serious question. What’s the overall height with this on and does it clear your garage door? Or do you have to take it off? Been looking at one for my next trip and i am flirting with an inch to clear my door when it’s up.

haven’t measured overall height but it definitely does not clear the garage. You would need a pretty tall garage for this, my garage barely fits my defender with the roof rack on. The good thing is, it’s an absolute breeze taking it on and off especially with 2 people. 5-10 minutes tops.

I have a Yakima on top of factory cross bars and it is great. If for skiing, make sure you measure your longest ski and add 4+ inches to see if they will fit in the box.
