I know this has been covered before, but I am wondering if with the G4 tool anyone has been able to remember the last driving mode or start up in a specific driving mode?

The car drives so much smoother in Eco. I cannot stand how modern cars are set up to give basically 100% of the power in the first 15% of the pedal.

Anyone have any luck with drive mode start up?

 

I used to switch to ECO, dutifully each time. Then I found out that it reduced the already pathetic alternator output to charge the tiny battery. So unless you drive a considerable amount of time each drive it tends to kill your battery. I only use it on trip in excess of an hour now, as I am staring down on my 4th warranty battery replacement in two years. I do not know if it can be programmed to default. There are several items I would like to default, but there seems little we can do about it. Then again, there are clever folks out there experimenting with the tool, perhaps, someday it will be possible.

 

Did not know that about Eco! Also the GAP team replied to me, not possible to do this as far as they know.
