Just as general info, tho: there are only 2 IIDTools - a individual user unit, the IIDTool BT, that has its advanced functions such as suspension height modification or CCF VIN locked to one vehicle and a Pro unit for... yes, professional use which has no VIN lock. They are exactly the same and offer the same functionality except that the Pro units have more memory so that there is enough for the back-ups the IIDTool does for safety ('restore' functions).
And what goes under all the time: the 'normal' diagnostic functions which basically includes all diagnostic functions is not VIN locked for all vehicles we cover.

Good to know. I have a mate who has the airbag light on and wanted to know if I could use it to check it out. Seems I mislead him as I said my tool would be no use to read it due to VIN. @WAFOX
