Stranded an hour outside of Moab!
Just got word LR is picking it up from the dealer between 7am and 9am tomorrow, so I should have it dropped off at the house early next week! Looking forward to getting her back. (Mostly so I can apologize for all the nasty things I said in front of her when I thought it was her fault.)
Dude.
Absolutely crazy.
Glad it seems to be working out.
I am guessing that the motor started running poorly because the oil filter housing not being attached properly caused a massive vacuum leak? That's the only thing I could think of -- in fact I'm surprised it didn't just keep going until it ran out of oil and really damage the motor fatally.
wow wow wow !
cool jeep too

That is for sure and an under statement...
.... and as crazy as this sounds - this is the reason I just ordered a scangauge to display the basics. If you'd had a PIVI display panel that had shown your oil pressure you most likely would have spotted it. (instead of waiting for a CEL that never threw...) This is a basic data 'screen' that I think is missing from the LR/Defender's display option. (I have my 2017 Por. 718 S set up with the 'basics'. ei. water temp, oil temp, oil pres. & voltage so why is this not a 2024 Defender option?) Seriously we should encourage JLR to include a data display panel that shows power pack basics.
^^ Yep, I run with that screen up on my GT4 all the time, as well as on the 991.1 before that, which was the first Porsche I had with such nice, easily displayed data like that.
But it's not a CEL that would have thrown -- it's an oil pressure light. So presumably the OP never got low enough for that to trigger, thankfully.
