stripped wheel lug stud
#11
I highly reccemend that you find a bottle of Rapid Tap and use it if you want that split die to work. Wheel studs are harder than the holly hinges of hell for a reason and as such really difficult to cut or repair screwed up threads. From personal experience it can difficult to get a split die to start straight depending on the taper and how screwed the threads are. Go slow and going back and forth (right and left) is your friend. Good luck hope it works for you.

Running into this issue on rear passenger side on my '23 110. The shop that installed my winters must have stripped one of them last year when I had them mount tires/swap wheels. I also found out that the studs are not replaceable individually and the whole rear hub needs to come out. I guess this is why you should do your own wrenching.
