The supply chain issue is a made up word for " we gonna stick it to you with higher prices, and you gonna like it ".
Yes, JLR replaced the sunglass holder with a piece of plastic. By doing so, they have saved 10-12 $ and increased your price. Pretty clever when you think about it.
Is a small item, and most people would not cancel an order because of that, or soft door close.
Typical TATA mentality, successfully applied.
Agree - unfortunately it's not just that singular part. It the seat backs, power outlets, digital dash, nave screen size, soft close doors etc.
JLR is really playing this....
I had a 1994 MX5 Miata (NA) for 10 years, then replaced it with a 2004 (NB). I think I counted five or six things like this that served only to cheapen the cost of building the car. There was the intricate split folding visors replaced with one-piece units that hind down below the header, the Dzus fasteners to hold the tonneau cover on replaced with simple snaps, the inner trunk liners went from a heavy gauge carpeted material to flimsy cardboard painted black, the real oil pressure gauge was replaced with a thing that looked like a gauge, but was really just a pointer that was either in the middle or off, essentially like an idiot light. The carpets were thinner, the seat padding foam was thinner. Probably a few more I’m forgetting.
I'm surprised Simon doesn't have a small group of avid fans following his every waking move at this stage. All bedecked in the finest woolen sweaters, beige pants, cap and spectacles. Not all heroes wear capes.
There was for many decades a cricket commentator from Australia, loved worldwide by all in cricket for his humor, gentlemanly qualities and in short, being an excellent human being. Richie Benaud (RIP). He still to this day, many years after his passing, has throngs who show up to cricket test matches in his signature suits. Color choices include, white, off-white, beige, ivory, cream, light tan. I hope one day to see similar Simon-groups at Rover events.
Sorry for the off topic post. It's just great to see such enthusiastic people ply their craft. Good luck to them all at @PowerfulUK

He truly is a treasure we must cherish! I've watched many of his videos back to back at great length, to the point where my 1 year old now recognizes his voice. He'll pause what he is doing and stop to look up at the television screen when he comes on 😄. His first words may even be "come have a look at this, Tyler"! He doesn't do that for other videos, except for maybe the "Lets Walk!" channel but that's different.
