Sunglass holder removed?
DEFINITELY post pics when you upgrade that to some DC outlets. That is definitely something I can / will see myself doing. When I evacuated my house do to wildfires, I had to use my old Chevy to work because IT had outlets for my laptop. My high dollar princess was useless.
[QUOTE=sna77;834980]Good news... The sunglass holder works! My shop just called to let me know that it all plugged right in and works... I won't see the car until next weekend unfortunately.

On behalf of Land Rover Australia and Northern Beaches Land Rover, we would like to sincerely thank you for choosing a Defender. Customer experience is at the heart of everything we do, and we feel it is important to keep you informed regarding a communications error related to the Defender 2023 Model Year.
Unfortunately, the Land Rover Defender was incorrectly communicated at select touchpoints as having the soft close tailgate door and overhead sunglasses holder as standard features. However, these features are not available on our Defender model line.
The softclose tailgate door controls the last 6mm of tailgate closure, ensuring that the tailgate does not need to be slammed, and that it will close completely. The removal of the tailgate door clinch mechanism requires the occupant to conventionally open and close the door manually.
The overhead sunglasses holder allows the vehicle occupant to store their sunglasses in an overhead compartment near the rear view mirror. An array of other compartments are available in the driver's cabin for storing sunglasses.
Our communications have been updated accordingly, and please rest assured that the price of your vehicle order did not include these features.
We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. The existing terms of your contract remain in place and so - while we hope this won't be the case - should you consider cancelling your order, please don't hesitate to discuss the options available with your retailer.
The team at Northern Beaches Land Rover is available for any enquiries you may have and will do their best to assist.
Yours sincerely,
Land Rover Australia
Thanks for sharing this. I find it admirable that LR Australia took the initiative to send this.
I find this part rather interesting because in my case the price has increased! ("and please rest assured that the price of your vehicle order did not include these features.").

Yes, JLR replaced the sunglass holder with a piece of plastic. By doing so, they have saved 10-12 $ and increased your price. Pretty clever when you think about it.
Is a small item, and most people would not cancel an order because of that, or soft door close.
Typical TATA mentality, successfully applied.
