Default They're Multiplying Quickly

Inventory in the US has gone up about 30% in a week - now at 488 on cars.com (naturally some are orders arriving but the point still stands).

My takeaways:
- I'm impressed that a good number are utilitarian P300's with appealing options - a tazman over acorn example for $61k
- I hope this means the aftermarket will get to work quickly - surely ARB ordered one...
- Money will be on the hood sooner than later.
- This board is about to become a lot more lively - this truck is made for those of us who can't leave well-enough alone.

I plan to order a '21 P300 - because I can get the style 5098 wheels in silver & black out the square - but there are some tempting examples on dealer lots.

How in the world will any aftermarket company fit a steel bumper to this front end? And if so, without it looking hideous?

I’m no project engineer, but they’ve come up with good solutions for weirder front ends (I’ve seen one on a 200 series Lexus LX). That said, ARB makes more than front end replacements. I’d like to see how their new Base Rack compares to LR’s Expedition Rack, etc.

Looking forward to more options - which is my thesis with this thread - I need sliders with steps.

I am glad I got the P400, because I wanted the extra towing capacity, but the simplicity and availability of stock 18" wheels on the P300 does make me envious sometimes. The extra cash in my pocket would have bought an awful lot of aftermarket accessories too...

I bought in mid August but I got an email from a dealer I had spoken with that he was expecting about 30 Defenders in and to come on down.

Stillruns: May I suggest you take a peek at the links posted in the Aftermarket string -- some very interesting and attractive work happening in the 3rd party suppliers in Australia.
