Next up is the 63k mile service which is also costly. This was my reasoning for maybe putting that money towards a newer defender vs further investing in this one. But I guess $5k on maintenance is better than a larger hit.

Does anyone know if most of those trim items are no longer an issue in new models?
Can't say I notice any trim related issues on my 2024. Is this the A-pillar trim flying off or issues with interior trim? Could you thorougly inspect the new one, Or is it still in transit?

I do have leaky headlight washers and my center screen has randomly gone black twice in 6 months of ownership. The screen returned to normal after shutting off the car for 20mins and restarting. Only issues thus far.

If I were you I'd ask them to put that $2k you spent fixing back window towards the new purchase *AND* to transfer the wheels, plates, roofrack, and ladder to the 2024 model. Could always add running boards later.

No issues with A pillar, although I do hear some noise at higher speeds. They have the car in the lot, so I could inspect it but I feel like a lot of these issues only show up after driving for a while.

They are willing to cover this service if I trade it in, but they want all the accessories. If I had the old wheels, they would give me my rims but unfortunately I do not.
