I used to be able to turn off all the driver collision and emergency settings and it would stay off when I restarted the car. Not so after a software update a couple of months back.

Now the only thing that seems to stay off between restarts is the lane keeping assist on the steering wheel.

Is this normal? Did LR change the software?

 

I’ve never been able to have these functions stay off after restarting the car. The rear emergency braking triggers when I’m backing out of my driveway due to traffic in the opposite lane. As far as I can tell there is no way to permanently turn these off.

I’ll be due for service in a couple of months and see if the dealer has any recommendations, but I’m not optimistic.
