Undershield vs. 'Functional' Undershield
Which year are you looking into? Which country are you in ? Which currency are you quoting? Are the quotes from the same location?

They are the same.
The “DF” codes are port installed options.
The “0” codes are factory installed options.
For the ‘22 model year the factory installed under shield was only available for the X and V8. So probably the same for ‘23.

This makes sense, as it appears from digging into the details the installs are of the same thing -- which is the Undershield shown in this instruction -- which is the functional, fully useful one.

The pricing makes sense, as when the port or the customer installs the functional front undeshield, instead of the factory, they throw away several critical parts (which I suppose could easily be worth $350 USD in parts and labor). If they could do this work in the factory, before they install the front bumper, it would definitely be an improvement.
Many on this thread have been complaining of the waste in NOT doing this work in the factory -- so maybe JLR listened?

Thanks team for your collective info thread - very informative. I assume it gives the customer the option to add the undershield as an after-thought once the car has departed the factory, but before it arrives at the dealer.
