Based on this thread, I ended up going with Sly Brackets too, and really like the look and simple setup too.

That looks great, i’m going to go this route too. Im also going to put my ez pass plate tag and see if it works slightly off center. Much rather it be out there and not on the windshield in my line of sight

Im also at the point where i need to mount a plate to front, just got my defender a few days ago, dealer gave me the oem plate mount. The grill mount is interesting but I dont want to block any airflow to my engine so I will most likely just go oem, gonna install some threaded rivnuts into the OEM mounting location and use the supplied bracket as that spot doesnt block any sensors camera or airflow to engine.

I have been running the one mounted to the grills for the past 20k miles and have zero cooling issues.
