Does anyone have a stock one they're not using and are willing to sell?
A great option I've found are these adhesive-backed studs which can be used with the stock plate brackets. 3M VHB will come off your bumper with some heat. 4 of them should be plenty of surface area to hold your plate and bracket on.
Update from 2/2025 - both brackets were given away to new homes.
If anyone wants any LR OEM front license plate holders for the New Defender L663 (the kind you need to drill to attach, but it's specifically for the Defender and matches the bumper contours) I have 2 sitting around (only one set of self tapping screws though) and can send them free to anyone who wants to pay postage.
I just got my Slybracket and even when mounted as far out as possible I see it on the wide camera view. On the narrow view it doesnt show.
Are others seeing it on their cameras? I have the 360 camera, not sure if that comes in to play. Should I not worry about it or did I do a funky install?
I used it for a few months. Maybe a year. But could never fully get it out of view. Nearly did by minor adjustments but was ultimately always there.
Eventually just removed it. While legally required in California; in LA 90% of people don’t have a front plate.
so I’ve joined that crowd. Clean bumper now.
but out of the options sly bracket was the best.
I've tried going no plate in LA and got so many tickets. I even got a ticket once at the center parking area of LAX while paying $240 to park there for a few days!

yikes!! Been over 2 years for me now. No issues. The amount of expired tags; old paper dealer plates; and no plates in this town. Cannot believe they’ve been doing you dirty like that!
Like many of you, I also received the same, ready-to-screw-on bracket from my LR dealer. They asked me upon delivery if I wanted them to install it for free, and I told them not to. They made me sign something to that effect. We'll see how long I can get away without it before getting a "fix it" ticket (I am in Cali and the front plate should be mandatory.)
This is the first time I am being given a choice actually, on previous cars (including 2 LR from the same dealer) the front license plate bracket was already screwed in place when I picked up the new car.
This is my 4th vehicle I bought where I was able to wave the installation of the front plate mounting bracket in California. Mercedes, VW, Tesla, and now Land Rover. Mercedes, VW, and Land Rover all made me sign a waiver releasing the dealership of liability. Mercedes and Land Rover also had verbiage stating I would have bracket installed after taking delivery.
