I can’t find the link that I used, however this is a similar product. VHB mounted studs. I used them on my RRS SVr. Worked like a charm for years. When I sold the car, I was able to cleanly remove them.

Thanks.

Similar product available here from a post earlier in this thread: https://www.mcmaster.com/91206A130/
I was thinking of just applying tape to the back of the plate itself...no hardware.

I used Sly Brackets on my 24 Defender and 25 RRS. No drill, no holes.

Used the same. Fit perfectly and no drilling. It has been on for over two years and could stand a bit of tightening for the first time.

I live in NY state and have not put a front license on my Defenders in 5 years. Even if you get a ticket, you can go to your dealer and they will take a photo of a temporary front plate on the vehicle so you can fight the ticket (at least my dealer will).

You might get a ticket while parked but ive never been actually stopped for not having a front plate. I got a speeding ticket last year and the cop didnt even notice the missing front plate.

If after 4 years I ever get stopped for not having a front plate, my story is it got ripped off while trail riding last week. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Also, I suspect this isn't used as a reason for a stop. You may get an additional citation if stopped for a moving violation, but I don't think it's primary.

Slow to respond, but I also have the Sly bracket. I give it a 8.2 out of 10, I like it, does its job, it does show in the camera view a tiny bit. I had a much nicer version of a screw less front plate holder on my Cayenne that was all billet and went in the tow hook hole. I'm in Los Angeles and I've easily raked up $500 in tickets on various cars with no front plates.
