V8 Oil filter and drain plug washer, where to buy/part number
#21
I've got the AJ133 in my F-Type, it's the same situation as the P400 with oil availability, they require the same spec. It does make it easy shopping for oil for both vehicles, same oil, just different filters.

I'm getting up to about 15k miles and although the oil is still looking in great shape (very unscientific assessment via the dip stick) I'll probably do a change sooner than the 21k service interval.
Thanks for any info.

Would you happen to have a link to the oil source. Last I looked form the oil-change sticky thread there was just 1 option. I'm getting up to about 15k miles and although the oil is still looking in great shape (very unscientific assessment via the dip stick) I'll probably do a change sooner than the 21k service interval. Thanks for any info.

Don't buy it on Amazon. Someone posted last year that the Liqui Moly they got from Amazon was a fake. There were errors on the bottle label.

The Liqui Moly Top Tec 6600 I posted above meets JLR oil spec 03.5006. Is that the current oil spec or did some new spec number come out? Someone posted this before:
Thanks to backward compatibility of the new specification, the new Castrol EDGE Professional E C5 0W-20 (STJLR.03.5006) will now replace the previously recommended Castrol EDGE Professional E 0W-20 (STJLR.51.5122) for AJ200P and AJ133.
Trying to figure out the current oil spec number is never easy. I'm sure either high quality 0W20 Liqui Moly oil (Special Tec or Top Tec 6600) will work just fine, especially if changed more frequently than 21K miles.
FWIW, my neighbor and I bought 2013 LR4's a month apart. I changed my own oil every 7500 miles using Mobil1EP. They did dealer maintenance with 15K oil change intervals. Their engine got really loud and needed new timing chain guides at 120K miles. Mine was still quiet at 180K miles. Maybe the change interval matters more than the oil used. Or maybe the dealer was using whatever oil they buy in big drums. Do you think dealers really have multiple oils on hand to meet the oil spec number for each JLR vehicle?
