Water under drivers side rubber mat - Removing front floor plastic?
Cleaned up the inside after having 3 bloodhounds in the Defender all weekend (the other option was to light the car on fire.... ha) and... it was wet under the drivers side rubber mat on my 2020 110. By wet ... I man very wet, a bit of standing water, not just a bit damp. This was more water than may have been on my shoes getting in and out.
It has rained lots here lately in the Pacific Northwest. And I've washed the car 3 times past 2 weeks.
I pulled up the cover under the back of the drivers seat (under the rear of the drivers side if you scoot it up ie like the battery cover). Down under the electronic boxes, I can see a bit of white corrosion on the legs of the bracket where they touch the floor pan, but could not see standing water back there. The corrosion rubbed off with a towel so... that's what it is. I suspect it has been wet. I've heard of this on 90 models but not 110's.
QUESTION: Anyone removed their front floor plastic ? Tips? I kind of want to look under there to see if its waterlogged / evidence of water. Do I need to remove the seats... ? (that's what I"m hoping to **avoid**)

I've read in other threads that they are having external leaks in seals and frame members. You will definitely want to check this out as I suspect it will be a PITA to locate where it is coming (there are many different ingress points and difficult to trace). If you don't dry it out ASAP you may have either electrical issues or become a rich biome for single celled flora. I think I saw most of this on Facebook, but forget which Pages (regrets).
Ahh.. interesting. Do you mean sunroof drain? It is worth a check for sure. Anyone have a clue where the sunroof drains are on a 110?
It doesn't live under trees (actually where I park it is about 50% of time in garage, 50% of the time in the driveway in front of the garage) -- but there is junk in the air flying around with blooms/budding trees.
edit: looking at parts diagrams I am tickled that the L663 has 4 sunroof drains, instead of just 2 like my D2 (dumbest sunroof design ever...)

My first thought is the sunroof, didn't people with the LR4 have issues with the sunroof and leaking. The drain hole gets blocked and the water needs to find a different way to exit. Being a fellow PNW, pine needles seem to be the culprit. My WIfe's MDX was being jammed up around the front windshield and the space was flooded with water. Again, pine needles.
Yes, the LR4 drains get filled up and require maintenance. As well, the tubes change shape over time and collapse in on themselves, cannot be cleaned out, and have to be replaced. There are four tubes - one through each A and B pillar.
It is an easy thing to diagnose -- the floor under the forward seats are wet, and the wetness extends to the rear and front foot wells. As well, the water leaks out the A pillar interior cover at the "air bag" cover and runs down the trim to the floor.

I had this issue with my BMW 3 Series- and after months of diagnosing was as simple as the sunroof drain. I got an air compressor and blew all the built up gunk. Don’t blow too hard as to dislodge the tube. And I run soap water through as well. See if that helps.
@nashvegas there have been various reports of water ingress on both sides of the Atlantic, there appears to be various locations where water can enter the vehicle, here's some reading for you:
