Default What actually is the purpose of this piece behind passenger seat?

Yeah, I'm sure once someone tells it its going to be beyond obvious, but at this point, I cannot figure it out

I originally thought it was for holding an iPad/iPhone/tablet, but as pictured, that's as far as it goes outward, and neither my phone or iPad fit into it.

I think that's just the hook - made to hold bags (reusable shopping bags, purses, backpacks, etc). I think they officially call it "click and hook" vs "click and hang", which is a sort of hanger-shaped attachment.

My recent 2023 delivery did not come with the backseat mounting location. I had to order a base piece that fits between the bars of the headrest to be able to use the “click and go” accessories.
