Added rear exposed tow hooks in red along with red surrounds from PowerfulUK. Requires removing the rear bumper which is tedious but not technically difficult. Looks better and more functional.

I usually go for a lock washer in this application

San Juan National Forest, CO. We had a late start so we kept our side trips close to US 550 from Durango to Silverton to Ouray.

Engineer Mountain is behind the line of Aspens.

Ironton. Didn’t see the moose reported to be in the area.

Construction hold at Red Mountain and Yankee Girl Mine.

Lime Creek Road. It’s getting rougher and rougher every year. Still beautiful.

A nice marsh just above 9300’ elevation.

Finished installing the BantanX and ditch lights. Now onto the L8 stealth winch install. Need some darkness to aim them and really see what they do.

Spent the past two days installing the Lucky 8 Stealth Winch Mount. Decided to go with the TerraFirma 12k option. Fits very nicely. Also I painted the bumper and grill black to match hood and other bits. Installed the LED grill as a final touch. All in took me 12 hours. I made the decision to not drill the hole in the grill for the front camera. Not sure what I am going to do for that other than look at options to Mount it to the bull bar when that comes available. Until then it is wrapped in plastic and tied up out of the way. A before and
after look.

Wow, that thing looks nasty as hell. I can't believe it only took you 2 days to do that. How difficult would you say that project is?

Honestly I don’t feel like it was hard at all. I followed lucky 8’s instructions and video tips. I had seen several others report 30 hours to install. I went into it planning on it taking me that long. 8 hours in I had the winch mounted and bumper back on. Kept thinking I was doing something wrong as there was no way it should be going that fast. Went back over all the steps at the end and I had done them all. Only thing I would say is having an extra set of hands when placing the tray would be nice. I didn’t and it was a little challenging but doable.
