What a hassle, but worth it
I suppose the “threat” of canceling the contract and selling it now that it had arrived was enough for me. could have been worse which is why I said it’s hard for me to be mad.
but yes I did specify. I’m not complaining about it, I’m still happy to have it. It was an ordeal that’s for sure. And they seem to be in good faith actually working towards a solution.
it’s not a huge issue anyway since I will likely be swapping them out anyway. I haven’t bought a new vehicle in a very long time so this whole process was certainly eye opening.
ETA I’m on a short trip, it’s not too terribly many more months until I’m home.

From my experiences with JLR "customer service", don't expect much. I have no idea why you would accept equipment or options on the window sticker and in the financing but not receive them. You should have simply told them to back that amount of money out of the deal.
Also, the pictures of that truck you posted has the off-road tire option ($350 Goodyear Adventurer). Did you specify the dealer-installed JLR approved Goodyear Duratracs?

After taking delivery, you absolutely must name and shame the dealer that would even consider screwing over a deploying servicemember. Egregious, their reputational damage will be more than any obscene profit they could have made on your deal.
License plate frame says "....Head. So I'm guessing Hilton Head, SC.
edit: Google image search of "Land Rover Hilton Head service" turned up a shop area that looks exactly like his pictures. This is Land Rover Hilton Head. Let the one-star reviews commence. I already panned them on Yelp. Everyone pile on, mention this particular "friend" who ordered and paid for equipment they did not receive and the dealer will be calling him in a few days begging him to come get the stuff in exchange for a promise to have the reviews taken down.

it wasn’t a post about seeking help or anything. Just saying what a hassle but totally worth it. Although I appreciate the support in that regard.
things such as tires, etc, merely lost in translation in the +9 months or so of the build, etc. so while appreciated if needed, there is no need for negative reviews. Point of fact the salesman was surprisingly great (he jumped in mid sale as the other guy left).

it was all resolved to my satisfaction, as I said the dealer made it right. And they were working in good faith etc.

Life's short. It's a great truck and I hope you enjoy it as much as I love mine.
Thanks for your service.
