Cofairingco: the “Denhams” installation method with the bent and repainted brackets commented on by Jim3997 looks to me looks rock solid and amazing but the bending of the brackets seems a step that is time consuming as compared to the Sanfermin 13 install that was performed by CFC. I am wondering why I wouldn’t just go the “10 minute” route?
The installation options are totally up to you. Some would like to take the time to bend the brackets and have them hidden, some would like to take the
10 minute route, but it comes down to what you are good with aesthetically.
That makes sense, I agree the aesthetics on the bent bracket version seem slightly better (looks sturdy too) but I think the brackets mounted on top are essentially hidden from view anyway. The plan with my guy is to go to his shop, take off the entire rack and leave it up to him which installation method he likes best. You may want to consider offering the brackets pre-bent if that is the winner!
Looking forward to seeing it installed and we're already in the process of getting some pre bent brackets made up specifically for this setup, should be ready in a few
weeks and on our website.

I just completed the installation of my Reverse Smile faring from Colorado Faring Co. It is amazing! I took my 110 out for a drive immediately after installation and for the first time since I installed my explorer rack I can drive with the sunroof open! I HIGHLY recommend adding this faring if you have the explorer rack. Thanks to everyone in this forum providing info on installation steps (and helpful photos and measurements) I was able to do the install myself, in just under four hours. I followed the installation approach of Brundog and Denhams. I removed the front section of the explorer rack and did all the work on my work bench. Earlier today, I painted the nuts and the hardware from Colorado Faring flat black with high heat Rustoleum. I figured the hardware would be exposed to the heat of the sun, so I figured I'd overdo it a bit. The flat black hardware on the black faring looks better than the silver hardware IMHO. To add to the detailed instructions from Brundog and Denhams (sorry if I missed anyone else that contributed to the installation steps), the wind dam (?) on the explorer rack is 86 cm wide, so I drilled 8.5mm holes 23.75 cm from each outside edge (of the stock wind dam) for the center two brackets. I used a 5/16" (8.5mm) drill bit for the M8 hex bolts. I used thread lock, lock washers, AND the lock nuts. The faring hopefully won't go anywhere any time soon.
Great job Colorado Faring Co on this product!

Reason: I accidentally put 23.75 mm instead of 23.75 cm
Youcut did you bend the brackets yourself per Denham’s spec? How did you do that? And thanks very much for the rest of the detail, which is excellent and well timed as I am taking on this project shortly. One more question - no one has talked about how the outer brackets attach to the rack, any details there you can share would be appreciated.
I bent the brackets in a vice based on the measurements shown in Denham's photos. Just put it in a vice and then bent it to 90 degrees with a hammer. After it was attached to the front section of the rack, I cut one side off so it is flush with the stock wind dam, and bent the other as shown in Denhams photos. I will cut the other bracket today, I just ran out of time last night. The outer brackets attach to the bottom of the outside of the front of the rack. Denhams photos show where to mark the holes, keep in mind that in his photos you're looking at it upside down. The hole is drilled 9cm from the wind dam, and even with that. I used a straight edge to mark the hole even with the wind dam. Denhams photos were key for me. Here are some photos of the outer brackets. For the hardware I used longer bolts for the two center brackets, shorter bolts for the outer brackets.
If I can help with anymore photos or details, just let me know.
The outer bracket connected to the underneath of the rack. Passenger side of the rack / faring
youcut33m - Thanks for sharing and glad you like the fairing! We would love to see some pictures of it in the wild when you get a chance!
Thanks for the support!
In a couple weeks or so we should have new pre bent, cut, and powder coated brackets for the 2 middle mounting points. We will
include them with the purchase of the fairing once we get them in stock.
Thanks for all the support and sharing your different techniques, it helps us improve on the products we have for future customers.
