I ordered the Defender Colorado fairing in black about 2 weeks ago but has not arrived yet. I'll take a look at the factory version too.

Regarding the picture a few posts above. What's new about this? I think that lip on the expedition rack has been out since 2020 (there was a slight revision in the expedition rack part, not sure if this was what was added ...?)

I posted this yesterday on another similar thread that is think is not as active. Whoops.

The CF fairing has arrived and it has the Fairing, 4 brackets, the 4 nuts and bolts to connect the brackets to the Fairing, and 4 rubber straps which are shown in the “non-Defender” section of installation instructions at the CF website. It looks to me that you drill your own holes in the roof rack to do the “Sanfermin” install, which looks good to me but I confess I am nervous about drilling holes and so think this not a do it myself project but go see my guy. Can I confirm the rubber straps are not needed for the Sanfermin style install? And that you need to drill 4 holes in the roof rack and acquire the appropriate hardware to mount that end of the brackets to the roof rack? Also, any direction as to the right nuts and bolts to acquire for that end of the installation would be most helpful, but probably easy to figure out (length a variable there?). I’ll post pictures of the process to help others.

Won't let me upload the png file of the parts. (stops at 90%, edited file way down in size. . . )

You do not need the rubber straps for Defender installations, they are just part of pre made packages that go out with every order. Jim 3997 that bent the
brackets was on to something with that type of install. If you go that route and then just cut off the additional metal it would save time and you can drill the hole
to mount it to the wind dam.

@cofairingco question for you :-) thinking about trying to mount a light underneath the expedition rack infront of that lip, aside from the clear fairing, do you have one that is cut to form around the light bar? :-)

makristal, We're a custom shop so we can do a cut out for the light if you like, we would just need the correct dimensions to do it. If you want to
go by the 52" x 9" size we do for defenders and make one out of cardboard and then cut out the light portion and send us those dimensions we
will get it done for you!
