Hey, just joined the forum to respond to this thread. I'm not a Rover owner yet, but I've caught the Rover bug and am shopping for a Disco for my 2nd vehicle/off road rig. Just thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself, as I hope to have a Disco in the garage pretty soon. Would be nice to have a group to hit Kansas Rocks or Tuttle Creek!

Hey guys just found this thread. I'm up in Manhattan and just purchased an 04 DISCO II. Should be delivered next week. I'm open for some adventures in my new DISCO.

Default Hey KC Rover guys

I expect to be joining the ranks on Monday when I pick up my first Rover which is a 2004 SE. Upgrading(???) from a 2012 Rubicon Unlimited. Rover is bone stock with most of the goodies. First off I live in Lee's Summit very close to Longview College so will need to meet the other guys here in LS.

I have been researching for a while and have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done straight away after the 8 hour drive home. It's overdue for the 60k maintenance and I found a shop in BS to handle that and the u-joint replacement.

New tires, minor lift, brush guard, lights will make it mine. Not sure if something will go on top.

Anyway...

I'm Russ; I am eager to learn, make the right choices and I hope it's reliable.

Other than comfort and style it won't exactly be an upgrade from a 2012 rubicon. As much as I'm not a heep fan, the JK rubicon is a very very capable ride.

Is there anyone in the KC area that can reprogram my SLABS for bags instead of coils?

I'm 4 hours away, but if you ever get to NW Arkansas I can do it.
