I'm trying to install a PU-9694B (Clarion, I believe, but just badged "Discovery") in my wifes 1990 Discovery. I've removed a faulty CD player and identified all the wires. The 5 pin connector for the dashboard controls matches perfectly with the connector on the loom from the radio cassette, but the main connector for power, speakers etc. is totally different from the connection block on the back of the radio. The cars loom has a connector consisting of 2 rows of 6 (each row divided in the middle, so 3 then a space then another 3). On the back of the radio are 3 connection blocks, one above the other. Each block has the capacity to take 10 pins (top) or 8 pins (middle and bottom). In the top block, only the 2 right hand positions are in use. All are in use in the middle block (speakers???), and in the bottom block, the bottom row are all in use, plus the 2 furthest to the right in the row above. To the right of the bottom 2 blocks is a 7.5A fuse (vertical) . Can anyone please help me identify the pins on the back of the radio, so I can finish the job? Thanks!

 

Now connected - it's a standard connection on the back of the radio, used a connecting loom from a Ford (I think), all wires were labelled, just cut off the Ford connector at the other end and connected the wires one by one as per the vehicle wiring diagram. All I need to do now is find out how to enter the code..............??????????
